The HSP System Scan does not look for labels and does not diagnose. It helps you systematically explore where a recurring route currently seems to have the most influence or constraint.

You look beyond behavior itself, at input and detection, meaning and prediction, learned system logic, activation, resource allocation, capacity / choice space, output function, feedback and update readiness.

Nine observation dimensions

The HSP System Scan is not a diagnosis and not a personality test. It helps reveal which parts of a system route currently seem to have the strongest influence on a repeating pattern.

The scan follows the current HSP model, with rollback and update readiness added as practical observation points.

Not: “What is wrong with me?”
But: “Which parts of this system route seem to influence this pattern most strongly right now?”

Protection is not a separate system layer here. A protective function may become visible when examining behavior / output.

  • how activation and body state change

The result is a hypothesis to observe and test further — not a fixed judgment about you or your system.

What this is not

Boundaries of the scan

This is not a diagnosis. Not a personality test. Not a disorder label. Not an attempt to place you in a category.

The scan also does not determine with certainty “which layer is the problem.” Human behavior emerges from interaction between multiple system processes, and the same output can have different routes and functions.

HSP therefore does not ask: “What kind of person are you?” but: “Which system dynamics seem active here, and which hypothesis can we test safely?”

The scan describes possible system dynamics. Not who you are.

After the scan

The scan helps identify what probably needs attention first — not which “layer needs fixing.”

Sometimes the first step is recovery or stabilization. Sometimes more observation is needed. Sometimes current input needs boundaries. And only when enough safety, capacity and choice space are available can a small experiment be useful.

Understanding signals

Signals are clues

Thoughts, emotions, body signals and behavior can provide information about how a system route is functioning, but one signal does not automatically point to one specific layer.

Overthinking may relate to meaning and prediction, but also to activation or constrained choice space. Fatigue may relate to capacity or body state. Avoidance may have a protective output function, but can also be influenced by other system dynamics.

The system map therefore helps keep multiple hypotheses open before drawing conclusions.
